Modernizing an Old Fireplace: A Photo Journey

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine how beautiful your outdated fireplace could look with a little TLC – and some help from your friends at Old World Stoneworks. And we hate to admit it, but sometimes we get a little too busy working on projects for our customers to tackle our own homes.

Recently, our general manager Michael Jung decided his home hearth was way overdue for an update. We know that traditional materials like granite, tile and slate look great for fireplace updates. Michael decided to pair our Capri with slate to modernize his living room.

You know that old saying about a picture being worth a thousand words? We took about a thousand pictures (more or less) to document the transformation, so this week we’ll mostly let the photos speak for themselves.
