At Old World Stoneworks, we love to hear from customers who have upgraded their homes with our beautiful mantels and range hoods. This week we’re featuring a project from a builder who started their new project out right. Residents of the new house will be able to enjoy our Florentine Range Hood, our Calais Mantel, and our Nottingham Mantel with an impressive custom #8 Overmantel, from the day they move in.
The forward-thinking company is C.Mac Construction in Beaux Bridge, Louisiana. This Southern Louisiana town is known as the Crawfish Capital of the World. C.Mac Construction owners Beau and Lisa McDaniel lead the home building and design team. They met almost twenty years ago during a 5K charity run, and have gone on to do good works building comfortable, luxurious houses for families to call home. Since the couple have three children of their own, they know just what a family needs in a dwelling. But they also realize that each family is unique. That’s why Lisa works with individual families to customize form and function to their particular needs.
Let’s see how they used Old World Stoneworks products in their recent build.
Kitchen
For the kitchen, where families tend to congregate, the McDaniels chose our 48” Florentine range hood. Since the kitchen has a ten-foot ceiling, this grand range hood is right at home. We think it looks extra nice with the carved details on the cupboards. And the crystal chandelier with the mirrored backsplash adds an extra touch of elegance.
Living Room
High ceilings help cool a room in the sultry South. C.Mac Construction built 18-foot ceilings for the new house’s living room. We love how they added the #8 overmantel to the Nottingham mantel, making a ceiling-high statement. From the bird’s eye view in this photo, you can see the elegant chandelier that mirrors the one in the adjacent kitchen, tying the two rooms together.
Master Bedroom Suite
Beaux Bridge is deep in French Louisiana, so we think it’s extremely fitting that the McDaniels chose our French-inspired Calais mantel for their master suite. Paired with a French-style headboard and footboard, and lots of metallic gold, this romantic bedroom makes us say ooh la la.
Happy Partnerships
One of the McDaniels’ favorite saying is, “We work better together than we ever could alone.”
We salute their spirit of collaboration. At Old World Stoneworks, we hope that our customers feel the same way about working with us. If you’re considering upgrading your kitchen or fireplace area, give us a call. And if you’d like your project to be featured in a future project of the month, we would be thrilled to hear from you and tell your story.
