At Old World Stoneworks, we’re traditionalists who don’t take the introduction of a new style lightly. But this month, we’re excited to add two beautifully crafted new cast stone fireplace mantels to our offerings.
Our new designs – the Chelsea and the Newcastle – may look a tad familiar. Both are new takes on our popular Capri mantel. We are excited for them to be featured in a press release.
Here’s our Capri. Notice its spare, elegant lines and many right angles. The Chelsea and Newcastle are a little rounder and less regular than the Capri.
Here’s the Chelsea. Notice how it tucks in, then flares out. The Chelsea is traditional enough to look good in an older home, yet sleek enough to fit in modern houses, too.

The Newcastle is similar to the Chelsea, with a more compact treatment at the top of the mantel. It looks a little softer than the Capri.

All three of these mantels – the Chelsea, Newcastle and Capri — come with 36″, 42″ or 48” wide openings, and are available in cream, buff or white. They join another new design just introduced in June, the Roman, our keystone-free Rothton.

We’re eager to hear what our customers think of the new designs. Please give us your feedback! And if you’re ready for a mantel upgrade in your home, call us and together we’ll figure out which of our many beautiful designs is the best one for you.
