Featured Project of the Month
As you probably know, at Old World Stoneworks we love to see our customers in action upgrading their homes with our beautiful mantels,overmantels and range hoods. Let’s journey down to hot and sultry Breaux Bridge, Louisiana –the Crawfish Capital of the World — and take a look at one recent project.
Husband and wife team Beau and Lisa McDaniel together run C.Mac Construction. They met almost twenty years ago during a 5K charity run, and have formed a creative alliance ever since. Their specialty is building comfortable, luxurious houses for families to call home. The McDaniels have three children of their own, so they understand the needs of a family. But they also realize that each family unit has its own tastes and preferences, so design lead Lisa works with individual families for a perfect fit.
Let’s see how the McDaniels used Old World Stoneworks products in their recent build.
Kitchen
Whether doing homework, snacking, or during parties, families and friends tend to congregate in kitchens. C.Mac Construction chose our 48” Florentine range hood to make this new kitchen sparkle. With a ten-foot ceiling, this kitchen is ready to display the grandness of our Florentine. Note how well the range hood complements the carved details on the cupboards.
Living Room
What goes with an 18-foot ceiling in a living room? Our #8 overmantelmakes a ceiling-high statement. Pair it with our Nottingham mantel, and you have the foundation for a room that invites parties and family gatherings year-round.
Master Bedroom Suite
French Louisiana calls for French-inspired furnishings. So the McDaniels chose a cool yet rich white, cream and gold color palette for the master suite. Our French-inspired Calais mantel fits in perfectly. This is one romantic bedroom that any couple would be proud to inhabit.
