| CAST STONE RANGE HOODS |

Old World Stoneworks has been making fireplaces for the last 14 years. In the last couple of years we have been making cast stone range hoods as well. We have received sketches, drawings and photos from our customers and produced them as custom projects. We are presently working on a standard line of range hood designs. Until then, just give us an idea of what you'd like and the dimensions you require and we will produce your custom range hood. Many architects and designers use various elements from our standard fireplace line to create their range hoods. This economizes on mold and production costs.

Print off and fill in our Range Hood Worksheet and fax it to us, or call us with the information. We will provide you with a scale drawing and a quote including the freight to deliver the range hood to the job site.

| Cast stone range hoods serve to cover the exhaust system above cook stoves while providing a decorative element to your kitchen. The cast stone range hood can basically be broken into three parts. | |

|  | The overhood is the topmost portion of the range hood and often (but not necessarily) reaches to the ceiling, when the exhaust is vented through the roof. Typically the over hood can be made with straight sides, tapered sides or sloping sides. |  | |

| | The header is the central part of the range hood and may be arched or straight and made plain or with a relief pattern. The header rests directly on the legs, corbels or whatever form of support is selected. | | |
|
| | The support system is the lowest part of the assembly and serves to support the upper parts of the range hood. Corbels, brackets, legs, or columns may be used to support the header and overhood. | | |
